| Her unforgiving eyes Come closer. Come really close. Because the closer you think you are, the less you will actually see…-Now you see me Monsters inside meIf we really learned from our mistakes, I'd be a freaking genius by now. My whole life, I've been a liar. Just the small things, really, it wasn't a big deal. You might be familiar with it. Come on, everybody does it. Think about it. At least, that’s my hypothesis. Or are you some holy saint? Well, let’s test it by an example. Here are some examples of what I am talking about: Telling your mom you already washed your hands when sitting at the dinner table. Blaming your brother for eating the last cookie, with crumbles still on your desk. Bringing up so called facts in arguments, which you totally made up two seconds ago. And even saying it was proven by scientists. Why? Because science is a great word to shut the mouths of stupid people. If you can honestly say you’ve never done any of those things, or similar actions, then I don’t believe you. Science has proven that EVERYBODY lies. I do. A lot. If you read this and you’re like my friend, please don’t flatter yourself thinking ‘Oh, no, Nick would never lie to me, of all people. I totally trust him’. Chances are, I actually lied to you multiple times. Even if you’re one of my closer friends. Hey, now don’t give me that accusatory look! I didn’t mean any harm by it, I swear! But sometimes a lie is just way, way easier than telling the truth. White lies, as they are called. Because they’re harmless or even supposedly good for others. (A short example, a classic one: telling your girlfriend that she totally rocks that dress. And oh no, of course she doesn’t look fat. At all.) But that one small lie would make a difference so big I couldn't even comprehend it? No. I never expected that. Ever. Just like you and the rest of the world, probably. Yeah. If you’re the kind of sick sadistic little prick that enjoys reading about the misery of others, be my guest. Read on. Monsters are inside me. But they might pay you a visit as well. |
